How do I know if I need a panel upgrade?

Common signs include breakers that trip frequently, a panel still using fuses instead of breakers, a panel rated under 100A, warm or discolored breakers, or flickering lights when you run large appliances. If your panel is more than a few decades old or you're adding major loads like an EV charger or hot tub, it's worth having it evaluated.

What are the benefits of switching to LED lighting?

LEDs use significantly less energy than incandescent or fluorescent bulbs, last far longer, and produce less heat. For a home or business with a lot of fixtures, a lighting retrofit can noticeably lower your electric bill over time.

What is a GFCI outlet, and where do I need one?

A GFCI (ground-fault circuit interrupter) outlet shuts off power almost instantly if it detects a ground fault, protecting against shock. Code requires them in kitchens, bathrooms, garages, outdoor outlets, and anywhere near water — including hot tubs and spas.

How long does an EV charger installation take?

A straightforward Level 2 charger install, where the panel has room and capacity, is often a single visit. If the panel needs upgrading first or the run to the charger is long, it may take longer. We'll give you a clear estimate after seeing your setup.

Do I need a permit for electrical work?

Most electrical work beyond simple fixture swaps requires a permit in Washington State. We handle the permitting process as part of the job so you don't have to navigate it yourself.
